Bulley & Andrews Concrete Restoration was a key partner in the 2003 adaptive reuse of Soldier Field. The firm’s role focused on the repair of deteriorated concrete at the coffered ceilings and columns of the East and West colonnades using pneumatically applied architectural concrete.

The work completed by BACR helped secure the integrity of the structure while matching aggregate in various size and colors and also matching paste color which required blending of various cements to achieve correct color and finish texture.

The firm’s strict adherence to safety protocols was critical to the overall success of the project as the approach to the work area 75’ in the air, required building a complete work platform inside each colonnade.
