Management

With a client-focused ethos and collaborative approach to project management, the leadership of Bulley & Andrews Concrete Restoration has resulted in the company’s continued growth and enviable status as an industry leader for providing concrete restoration services. Our management team, highlighted below, would love to talk with you and learn how BACR can positively impact your next project.

Don Redar Vice President

An industry veteran and subject matter expert with over 35 years of concrete restoration expertise, Don Redar, vice president of Bulley & Andrews Concrete Restoration (BACR) personifies the saying “work hard and stay humble.” Don began his career as a field laborer with Takao Nagai Concrete Restoration, where he learned the business from the bottom up. He quickly ascended the ranks, serving as superintendent, project manager, and vice president.

Mentored by the company’s eponymous leader, Takao Nagai, Don took over the division’s operations in 2010 when it was acquired by Bulley & Andrews. Now known as BACR, Don oversees the division’s day-to-day operations while developing new and nurturing existing client relationships.

Don’s promotion to vice president of BACR in 2018 is well-earned. He is renowned for his quiet confidence and technical acumen which has earned him an unparalleled level of trust among clients and industry partners. Paired with his keen ability to analyze issues and challenges, he provides innovative and effective solutions for every project his team undertakes.

Under his direction, BACR has experienced steady growth. The division has mastered the art of plaza restoration, as evidenced by projects such as 10 S. Riverside Plaza, 120 S. Riverside Plaza, and 222 S. Riverside Plaza, and has received the status of certified application specialists for BASF, LymTal International, SIKA, and Watson Bowman Acme. Don’s management has also led BACR to augment their self-perform work, which includes post tension tendon repair and hot rubber waterproofing.

A family man at home and in the office, Don has been responsible for doubling BACR’s management and field family since 2010 and exemplifies the same family-owned business values of parent company, Bulley & Andrews. Under his influence, BACR is continually recognized for being solution-driven, easy to work with, and motivated by pride rather than profit.

Don is an active leader in the industry, serving as an affiliate member of the Structural Engineer Association of Illinois (SEAOI), and a member of International Concrete Restoration Institute (ICRI), Sealant Waterproofing Repair Institute (SWR), American Shotcrete Association (ASA), Building Owners Managers Association (BOMA Suburban), American Concrete Institute (ACI), Illinois Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Association of Preservation Technology, Western Great Lakes Chapter (APT WGLC).

When Don is not on a project site or at his computer, he can be found in the gym, working in his yard or taking a bike ride with his wife.
