10 South Riverside Plaza
The problem:
Located in the heart of Chicago’s business district, the plaza at 10 S. Riverside was deteriorating and in need of concrete restoration services.
The BACRÂ solution:
Bulley & Andrews Concrete Restoration completed the plaza restoration, providing structural concrete and shotcrete repairs, structural steel replacement and restoration, paver and sealant replacement and installation of a waterproofing membrane. On the plaza sits a fully occupied 20-story commercial office building which is remaining operational throughout the course of the project. Site safety and logistics are of utmost concern given the project’s proximity to the Chicago River and the Amtrak and Metra train tracks which terminate at Union Station, just a few feet from the plaza.
